We have restarted our business trips that were interrupted by the pandemic. However, compared to previous years, the cost of going on a business trip has increased dramatically. Flight tickets are at the level of tens of thousands, accommodation is burning, daily food and beverage expenses have skyrocketed.

But it is not possible to stand only by doing domestic trade. We have to constantly seek new foreign markets and new customers.

We started a few connecting flights. Anyway, after some troubles, we landed at Moscow airport. As soon as we dropped the suitcases at our hotel, we started negotiations. Of course, our first stop was the office of our Russia Distributor. We evaluated the situation of the Russian market. We talked about the effects of the war. We evaluated how the domestic market was affected due to the disruption of European trade. It was inevitable that the conversation would continue at the dinner table.

Of course, smelling a business start from local markets. We browsed the shelves of several different grocery stores in the area. We saw that the shelves of Russia are at a very good point in terms of packaged products.

For a while, there was constant demand for skin packaging machines from Russia. After examining the shelves, we understood why. The Russians liked the Skin packaged products. On demand, the variety of products on the shelves has gradually increased. There are a wide variety of skin products, especially in meat products.

The economic crisis in the world has of course also affected Russia. When the war situation is added to it, the prices have increased considerably. As you can see in the photo, 350 gr.  slice of steak is 540 Rubles. (9 Euro)

The situation is same on food oils. 1 Liter of sunflower oil is 150 Rubles.
